Sport is said to be one of the instruments of unity. It brings people together regardless of race, gender, religion, age, disability etc. Sport has a very large following, however there is a big inequality of opportunity between countries and within countries. Additionally to the fact that huge inequalities still exist in our daily lives as well as in sport, many people are not aware of this. Education about the issue often remains a theoretical explanation in schools but experiencing and understanding inequalities is rare. Therefore, further information and innovative approaches in and through sport are needed.<\/p><\/div>\n \t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We want to get further insights on why girls and women drop out of sport and how they feel about it. We will educate them about the main importance of sport and empower them to participate. Additionally, we will develop a sport game to show inequalities and make it understandable for different people such as kids and youth. This is how we aim to raise awareness on different types of existing inequalities. Ways to break down barriers and to achieve equality should be figured out within the game. Through discussion and reflection, findings should be transferred to participants\u2019 daily lives.<\/p><\/div>\n \t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

First, we conduct interviews with active and non-active women (in sport) from Malawi to understand one important minority (women) better. That\u2019s how we can figure out which barriers they see or what could be done better within the sport setting to support their participation. We will educate other people about inequalities (in sport) by using a play-based approach.
