“I love what I do, serving sport. It is my passion. I have been involved in sport as an athlete, coach, and administrator for most of my life, from early school days; suffice to say over 45 years!
Becoming a leader in sport was really a “natural selection and progression”, given my origins and background in sport, my teacher training and specialization in physical education and overall love for sport.
I always take opportunities to learn through as many available options as I can access: I read widely and interact with people who have knowledge to share: I have also taken the necessary academic and professional studies to improve my sport specific proficiencies.
I hope that my mentees will come from this programme with information amassed, leadership skills enhanced, advice gained, networks built, experiences shared, and friendships made. “
